The record is like the slow-passing time of a summer's day in NYC: crazy, but relaxed. The sound is reverbed and obscure, think Snail and pre-Kramer Draper. Heringer's live shows at Sidewalk Cafe and Webster Hall have a more direct approach, which is a nice contrast in tension."
